There is a video I found on StumbleUpon that is really disturbing.  It bothered me so much that I won't even link to it here, if you want to see it, you can Google it or find it on YouTube.  (UPDATE:  The video may have been taken down from YouTube, but can probably still be found.

The video shows 2 US Soldiers on a desert hill.  They are holding a very cute puppy.  A third soldier is doing the filming, and I can't tell if there are more around.  The solder holding the puppy then tosses it off of the cliff and you hear yelping.  This is a big fall.  I have no idea if the video is real or not, but regardless, I have the following questions:

1. Why would ANYONE do that?
2. If it's fake, why would you fake that?
3. If it's real, WTF?
4. If it's real, where did they get the puppy?
5. If it's real, why would they film it?
6. Why haven't major mainstream media channels picked up on this story?  Even if the US Media didn't, the foreign media that is seeking to discredit the US Military would love this sort of thing.

Now I'm not posting this to slam on US Forces.  While I don't agree with a lot of US Foreign Policy at this time, I still respect the people who decide to risk their lives and serve our country.  And I understand that in ANY large population (according to Wikipedia "As of April 2007, about 1,426,700 people are on active duty in the military with an additional 1,458,500 people in the seven reserve components") there are a percentage that are just fucked up individuals. 

I have no real answers for this one....and I really don't know what to say.  But I hope that by posting this, people become aware of it and maybe the media will pick up on it, and those responsible can be punished.
